Currently, we utilize Carbon (energy) and Nitrogen (protein) feedstock from a select few sources.
We are strict in what we accept. Just ask the previous suppliers that have been cut off from being allowed to tip their loads! We also amend select batches with various other ingredients to create a “recipe” that ultimately facilitates end products for a specific use – based on biological lab testing (below). Compost/composting is not patented. However, some of our “recipes” and our management processes are Proprietary. Our compost – usually 25-40 individual batches being processed simultaneously - is closely monitored, logged, labeled, recorded, etc.... We strictly monitor temperatures and moisture levels – as well as close visual inspections at least 3x per week. Random batches are selected for testing and sent to a certified lab to confirm biological populations. We are always experimenting with new ingredients, ratios, processing protocols, etc... Our goal is to produce the absolute best end product that is possible, and improve upon the management protocols wherever possible. Occasional lab testing helps to support this goal. We do not currently employ any tub grinders, shredders, screeners, or such. One of our primary goals is to mitigate any carbon footprint and unnecessary and unfriendly disturbance to the residential community. We can achieve material breakdown and create finer aggregates by utilizing everything aforementioned. |
