Compost/composting is a process. It is not naturally occurring in nature. In Nature there
is decay and breakdown and even rot. However, “composting” as we commonly know it, does not occur in nature. Composting methods have been around for thousands of years. Composting is; the controlled and managed aerobic decomposition of organic matter. Composting, although ripe with generations of applied sciences, microbiology, testing, research, etc...is as much – if not more – an art as it is a science. One thing that it is not is an exact science. It cannot be. There are far too many variables that affect the process and the end product. We manufacture a few varieties of compost.
Some of these are similar in their biological properties, others are quite different. |
